All writing, whether fiction or non-fiction, academic or amateur, has a story, a message to it. What I do is edit the text so that the story shines through.
Over the past 26 years I’ve edited a wide range of materials, including print and website, for a wide range of clients.
I’ve edited academic and educational materials, fiction and non-fiction. I’ve edited for government, universities, publishers, and individuals, and I have particular experience with copyright – that is, protecting my clients’ copyright and the third-party copyright within their work.
I am accredited by the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd), the national body for editing in Australia. I undertook its first accreditation exam in 2008, and have maintained my accreditation.
Whatever the genre or format, I enjoy helping writers to succeed.
